Stories of tradegy turned into triumph
The Triumph Book is so hard to put down! When I start hearing about how these people have overcome such adversity, it is truly amazing to me. As I read, it is like I cannot wait to see how their life has changed and how they got through it!
When I read The Triumph Book, I was drawn to the authors as individuals. You can feel the strength they have been able to tap into as they share their experiences and desire for others to benefit from reading their narrative. These are not stories crafted by their authors, but authors who have been crafted by their stories.
I have not faced such extreme challenges, but found that the book helped me look at my challenges from a different angle. Maybe what I am trying to "fix" right now has a purpose I am not able to see at this point. I find myself stepping back from a frenzy of solution finding to an appreciation for what we do have.
As I started to read the conclusion of The Triumph Book, it hit me and I realized how much this book has impacted me as I began to sob in the second paragraph. I knew each story was special and showed me inspiration separately, but as I read the conclusion I was flooded with emotion. Some of it may have been healing from my own experiences and some of it may have been realizing that there is always hope and ways to get through life's adversities and help or inspire others.
During the reading of this book I have almost completed the storybook of my father for my daughter and have begun journaling so that one day my kids and grandchildren can know the story of my life. I am a gift-giver, I always have been. This book made me realize the best gift I can ever give my daughter and future children is the gift of story and inspiration. This book literally blew me away as I concluded my journey through each and every life in every story. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to read this book! It has touched me in ways you will never know, and I think in some ways that I have not yet realized. I cannot wait to be able to share this book with others and for more like it to be written!!
As someone who is in the funeral industry, I believe The Triumph Book is a must-have for every funeral home and all others who work with people who have suffered a loss of any kind! It is full of the type of inspiration that is needed when one feels that they can not go on! It is an amazing book that is easy to read and touches every inch of ones heart no matter who you are or what your circumstance is.
************************* I was so touched by the story that you shared with us and CANNOT wait to read the rest of The Triumph Book. SO I was just wondering when, where, and how much will it be available? I know you said you are just publishing this month but I am so excited to read the rest of the book. Also I am presenting the idea of a fundraiser to my Relay for Life team at our next meeting. Any info would be wonderful!
